Mucha gente no conoce el Hospital Tornú hasta que le toca de cerca. El Hospital tiene un presupuesto inimaginablemente bajo que no alcanza para prácticamente nada. Muchísimas son las carencias que no llegan a cubrirse ni con las donaciones (poquísimas en relación a otras instituciones apadrinadas por personajes de la cultura o la farándula ) que generosamente hacen ex pacientes, familiares de pacientes, amigos, personas comprometidas y hasta el mismo personal con el bienestar ajeno.
Las esperas en los distintos servicios y las internaciones, algunas de varios meses, se hacen interminablemente largas y angustiosas.
Es por eso que queremos que este mail circule desde hoy y se haga una gratificante CADENA y donde podamos decir ¡¡¡GRACIAS!!! a la colaboración de todos ustedes para lograr conseguir algunas de las cosas que aquí detallamos, que sabemos que nunca están demás, como ser:
– televisores
– video cassetteras (ahora que todo el mundo las cambio por DVD),
– películas en video,
– radios portátiles y radiograbadores.
– Computadoras.
– Láminas decorativas para alegrar los pabellones y revistas
para hacer más llevadera la espera.
– Mesitas pequeñas (para poner las revistas en las sala de espera),
– plantas de interior y exterior.
– Bancos y sillas, platos, cubiertos, vajilla en general para médicos y enfermeras.
– Mesa de 2 planos para que los médicos de quimioterapia trabajen comodamente,
– una mesa para computadora.
Además ahora estamos necesitando:
* Ropa de Abrigo para los pacientes,
* Ropa de Cama, frazadas, almohadas, almohadones,
* Toallas,
* Artículos para higiene personal,
para los pacientes que no tienen familia,
* Pañuelos para la cabeza
* Gorros, Gorras,
* Zapatos,
* Medias,
* Libros, para la Biblioteca
donde pueden los pacientes hacer volar su imaginación,
* Pelucas,
* Alimentos no perecederos
* Revistas de Entretenimietos, palabras cruzadas,
* Y Materiales de arte (hojas, crayones, lápices, acuarelas, etc) para los pacientes que se encuentran en el sector de Rehabilitación y Cuidados Paliativos,
para que expresen todo su Arte.
Muchos son los pacientes que no tienen familias y están solos internados
por eso necesitamos de tu servicio Voluntario,
para que nos ayudes con nuestra hermosa tarea.
Te comentamos que los 3ros jueves de cada mes te invitamos a participar de “Jornadas de Entretenimiento y Recreación para los Pacientes”, así que si sabés cantar, hacer magia, tocar algún instrumento, podés venir con tu grupo de música, si sabés bailar y donde nos puedas dar unas clases a todos, alguna manualidad, o lo que realices, ¡¡¡te esperamos con mucho Amor!!!
Desde luego es ¡IMPORTANTÍSIMO!!! que quien así lo desee pueda donar Insumos y Material Descartable que son tan caros e imprescindibles para combatir esta grave enfermedad que en el último año ha duplicado prácticamente la cantidad de consultas en nuestros servicios.
El cáncer no conoce de edades, colores ni religiones, nos puede afectar a todos y entre todos tenemos que luchar para combatirlo. Si usted cree que puede ayudar, todo, por chiquito que sea sirve para mejorar la vida de quienes se atienden o trabajan en el Hospital.
